Ginger Christian, DDS

I have been practicing dentistry since 1995.  People who know me consider me to be a bit of a perfectionist in everything I do.  I continually strive to do my best and am very passionate about my job!  I work diligently to provide the utmost in dental care and to treat my patients as though each and every one is a member of my family.

It is a very wonderful feeling to help a patient and then to see them walk away with a big smile on their face.  I am especially proud when I gain the trust and respect of a person who was initially either apprehensive, experiencing discomfort, or unhappy with their appearance.  My goal is to provide an atmosphere where the patient is so confident and comfortable that they will return for treatment.  A person’s smile is one of their best assets and I consider it a huge privilege to aid in the process of keeping it healthy and functioning properly!

Dentistry has been an integral part of my life for a long time.  I began my career at the young age of 16 working in a dental office as an assistant.  I worked in a variety of offices during the course of my high school and college years.  I was fortunate to gain additional experience working as an assistant alongside some dental professionals specializing in the areas of periodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.  During this time I gained a great understanding of what the job entailed.  I always knew in my heart that dentistry was a profession in which I would excel.

Dentistry is in my blood.  I am from a long line of dental professionals including:  my father (orthodontist), brother, uncle, brother-in-law (orthodontist) and even some great-uncles and cousins! This particular practice was begun in 1967 by my uncle, Anton “Jack” Carollo, DDS.  Upon graduation from dental school I began working as a part-time associate with him. My uncle taught me many things about practicing dentistry and running a small private business.  He retired after working together for several years and I purchased the practice from him in 2000.  It was a great situation to have several relatives as mentors.  I am grateful to my family for their guidance and support in this professional journey.

When I am away from the office I enjoy gardening, sewing, riding my bicycle, relaxing with friends, home improvement projects, working out, preparing healthy meals and most importantly spending quality time with my three children.  I am truly blessed to have them in my life.  They are wonderful young adults and make me proud on a daily basis.  I feel that the family is an integral element of success and I try to incorporate this philosophy into my work environment, as well.

I am extremely fortunate to have a seasoned and talented team working with me at the office:  Dr. Russell Pesavento (associate dentist), Meg Denewellis (dental hygienist), Julie Blackburn (dental assistant), Lori Baum (receptionist) and Denise Scott (dental assistant/receptionist).  I consider them all to be my family away from home, so to speak.  The majority of the team has been working alongside me since I took over the practice.  They are all very knowledgeable and talented.  I believe that each and every member shares my philosophy in patient care.  We all strive to do our best and to make the patient our priority in every aspect of their care.
