Julie Blackburn - Dental Assistant

I have worked for Dr. Ginger in this dental office since 2000.  I had no idea what the job entailed when I began working in the dental field.  I have learned a great deal about dentistry over these many years.  It is my job to make the patient feel as comfortable as physically possible during their visits.  I truly enjoy getting to know all of our patients and it has been really nice to build relationships with each and every one of them.  I also truly enjoy all of the people that I work beside every day.  We really are a great team and we work very well together.  I have made many great friendships over the years.  It is very gratifying to see our patients eventually become part of our dental family.

I have been married to my awesome husband, Denny, for many years! We have two amazing adult sons.  We have lots of fun with Adam and his partner, Shawn.  We enjoy attending Broadway shows and concerts with them.  My son Trevor and his wife Savannah have given me the most wonderful gift of all; a spunky little blonde, blue eyed grand-daughter.  Effie is the love of my life and any day spent with her is absolute heaven!  I enjoy traveling with my family and shopping.  The thing I enjoy the most is spending quality time with my family and friends.

There are many people that I admire in life, but the person I admire the most would have to be my little grand-daughter, Effie.  As many are aware, she battled cancer at a very young age and won!  Through those hard times I really learned what friends and family mean to me.
